  An IPTV Transmitter can be built from two MVD IP cores: UDP/IP Stack and RTP Transmitter.
The IPTV Transmitter gets MPEG TS streams and send them in UDP/RTP packets to an Ethernet link

Description

The IPTV Transmitter includes the following functions:
  • Full Hardware UDP/RTP Transmitter
  • MPEG TS (DVB-SPI) inputs
  • Emission of UDP/RTP packets compliant with SMPTE 2022-2-2007
  • Possibility to add a FEC protection (optional) to the RTP packets
    compliant with the SMPTE 2022-1-2007
  • Checksum validation of Ethernet, IP and UDP layers
  • RX UDP Ports filtering to receive UDP Data for customs applications
    (ports number 1024 to 65535 may be used in reception)
  • Ports 67 - 68 reserved to DHCP protocol
  • Maximum number of UDP/RTP channels depending on the FPGA resources,
    Ethernet speed connection and bit rate of input flows
